The Rotary Club of Coral Springs seeks service and community-minded people to consider joining.
Like many long-term and successful civic groups, the Rotary Club’s membership is growing older, and younger people need to join and eventually become leaders.
“We want to increase our membership and reach out to other non-profits in the community to see if we can work together on service projects,” said Sal Golfo, a Rotary board member and membership chair.
The Rotary Club and other service clubs will meet at Runyon’s of Coral Springs on Wednesday, March 26, at 5:30 p.m. to socialize and discuss service opportunities. The club usually meets at Pizza Time at 11504 West Sample Road each Wednesday at noon.
“We are not a networking group; we are a service club and want to show younger people how to do community service. We are working on a variety of projects,” said Golfo.
One major project for the Club is raising money for the Nothing’s Impossible for Cancer Kids N.I.C.K.’s Camp, which provides a fun experience for children with cancer. On April 15, the Club will publicly donate to the camp during the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting.
