The Rotary Club of Coral Springs-Parkland is working with the Coral Springs Veterans Coalition to bring “The Wall That Heals,” a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. that travels throughout the nation.
The exhibit features a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The replica is 375 feet long and 7.5 feet tall at its tallest point. Visitors experience The Wall rising above them as they walk towards the apex, a key feature of the design of The Wall in D.C.
To help raise funds for the effort, the Rotary Club will host a bowling event at Bowlero, 8501 North University Drive in Tamarac, on Wednesday, March 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. To participate, adults will pay $20, and high school students will pay $10. Sponsoring a lane costs $300, according to David Pollack of the Club.
The money raised will go directly to the Veterans Coalition to help pay for the moving of the Vietnam Wall. It will be in Davie at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds on April 24-26, 2026.
The Wall has previously been on display at the Sportsplex in Coral Springs in October 2015 and May 2023.
“The Wall That Heals” has been displayed in more than 800 communities throughout the nation, according to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund website.
