Over a dozen boys and girls soccer players from Coral Springs High School, Coral Glades, Coral Springs Charter, and J.P. Taravella participated in the Broward County Athletic Association All-Star Game Tuesday at Cardinal Gibbons.
Boys Team
The Colts, who went 5-8-3 this year, had McNoy Nish and Mikerry Pierre for the Stripes, and Jonathan Hines and Matthew Kent, for the Jaguars. Despite only winning four games in the regular season, Coral Glades reached the District Final with Hines leading the team with 16 goals.
Andrew Mersch was the lone student from Coral Springs Charter, while Kevin Nunes and Kenan Molme competed from J.P. Taravella.
Girls Team
Nine athletes from Coral Springs High School, Coral Springs Charter, Coral Glades, and J.P. Taravella, In the BCAA All-Star Game.
For the Colts, Hannah Shay and Katherine Cova played after Coral Springs High School went 8-9. Kelsey Dunne, Sabrina Basso, and Emily Kahler played for Coral Springs Charter, making Regionals. All year, Dunne was spectacular in net for the Panthers, with Basso recording 14 goals and seven assists while Kahler scored nine.
Gianna Gharakhanian and Mina Kendall competed for the Coral Glades after helping them reach a District Final. Kayla Schloss and Kaydine Celeste played from J.P. Taravella.
