South Florida residents, a new place for gathering and collecting sports memorabilia, is now open in Coral Springs.
The Sports Card Vault is a hobby shop that creates a one-of-a-kind experience for sports enthusiasts of all ages.
Owner and collector Kevin Barrett has dreamed of opening a local card shop that becomes a destination spot for collectors, families, and kids to talk sports cards.
“I’ve been collecting cards since I was a child, and I want individuals to have a local card shop to create that nostalgic feeling from their childhood when they enter the storefront,” he said,
Customers and collectors can purchase the latest baseball, basketball, football, soccer, hockey, and Pokemon retail boxes, exclusive hobby boxes, and singular-graded slabs. Sports card supplies will also be for sale.
Each room displays different autographed sports memorabilia from their respective eras, with the latest live sports on display for fans to come to hang out.
The store creates a museum type of experience, with different eras of sports on display as you walk through the store,” said Barrett, who added The Sports Card Vault would be available to rent for private parties or fundraising events.
The store opened on November 16 at 9832 West Sample Rd.
Barrett hopes to encompass all audiences and create an ever-lasting community surrounding card collecting.
