Coral Springs had three cheerleading teams compete at the State Championship on Saturday in Lakeland.
The Coral Spring High School cheerleading team came in fourth place in the small ton-tumbling division.
“They had an amazing performance in semi-finals in the morning and earned their way to finals to hit another great performance in the afternoon, Head Coach Amanda Mortimer said. “This team has come so far, and I am beyond proud of them.”
They previously came in third at Regionals against Dwyer, Forest Hill, Benjamin, Northeast, Avant Grande, Miramar, West Broward, South Broward, Chaminade Madonna, West Boca Raton, Key West, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas. They also came in second place this year at the BCAA Championship.

They are set to compete win Nationals later this month.
The Panthers competed in the extra-large non-tumbling vision and came in sixth place, third in the semifinals.
“No matter what happens, I’m always proud of the hard work these girls put in during their performances, Head Coach Mackenzie Palumbo said. “I’ve been coaching these seniors since they were in eighth grade, so the hardest part overall is having to say goodbye to them.”

Coral Glades finished fourth in the small non-tumbling division, meeting one of their season goals of 32 out of 35.
