The Coral Springs Charter football team earned their first victory over Hollywood Hills High School 27-8 Thursday afternoon.
The win was also a first for Head Coach Chris Haire who took over for Matt Garris. Quarterback Ryan O’Keefe had a big game and threw for four touchdowns — three of them going to senior Mason Phillips. Trevor Catronio scored the other receiving touchdown.
Freshman Mikey Varga had a big game defensively while Roman Reid picked off three passes. Zach Stewart also had a pair of sacks.
“Such a great team win and we are looking to take this momentum and continue to build on it moving into Archbishop,” said Coach Haire.
With the win, the Panthers improve their record to 1-1. Next, CSC will play Archbishop McCarthy High School at home on Friday, September 10 at 7 p.m.
