An accused Peeping Tom caught preying on unsuspecting Coral Springs women is facing additional charges after a resident said he spied on her while she showered, court records show.
According to an arrest affidavit, Kenneth Parkerson, 40, who lives on the 120th block of 85th Terrace in Shadow Wood, allegedly filmed the woman with his phone on Feb. 4 from his vantage point behind her home’s outdoor bar.
Parkerson, who had a clear view through the woman’s master bedroom window, also allegedly prowled around the home in an effort to look inside on Feb. 3, 5, and 6th, all while the homeowners’ 7-year-old daughter was home, records allege.
The victims inside the home said they saw Parkerson’s black Cadillac SUV peel out of their neighborhood on Feb. 6. That location has been redacted from police records. They followed Parkerson in their own vehicle before losing sight of his Cadillac, which was going more than 100 miles per hour, according to the affidavit.
The victims, who also saw Parkerson prowling around their property on home security footage, told Coral Springs Police “they are emotionally distressed and extremely fearful” because of the voyeurism.
“Due to the concern for their own safety, and repetitive nature of these incidents, the victims [are] no longer staying at their residence…the victims do not know who the suspect is or why he has an interest in them,” police wrote.
As a result of the incidents, Parkerson is charged with stalking, burglary, and video voyeurism, court records show.
Those charges were filed in addition to the crimes Parkerson allegedly committed when he spied on other Coral Springs residents through their windows, leading to his arrest on Feb. 8.
That day, Parkerson was being surveilled by Coral Springs Police as he exited the backyard of a private residence near the 900 block of Ramblewood Drive wearing a sweatshirt, ski mask, and dark clothing, police said.
He was arrested a short time later in Margate.
During one incident that day, Parkerson allegedly watched an underage girl doing gymnastics in her home, while illegally peeping from within her family’s fenced-in backyard, court records show.
As a result of the Feb. 8 incidents, Parkerson is charged with Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling, Voyeurism, Violation of Probation, and Reckless Driving, police said.
According to the police department, Parkerson is well-known to officers from previous voyeurism incidents, for which he is currently on felony probation.
In 2013, Parkerson was sentenced to eight years in prison for videotaping and spying on women in their Coral Springs homes.
He was being held without bond Friday at the Broward Main Jail.
