The Coral Springs Center for the Arts will host a performance of The Sleeping Beauty on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, presented by the State Ballet Theater of Ukraine.
This production, set to Tchaikovsky’s renowned score, will be performed in three acts with two intermissions.
The ballet tells the story of Princess Aurora, who, on her 16th birthday, is cursed by the evil fairy Carabosse to fall into a deep sleep for 100 years. The curse can only be broken by a kiss from her true love, a prince who awakens her from the spell.
The Sleeping Beauty is noted for its classical ballet style and has been praised for its technical execution and adherence to tradition. The production aims to deliver a faithful interpretation of this well-known narrative, showcasing the choreography and musical composition that have made it a staple of the ballet world.
Tickets for the performance start at $42.45, with the show beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts.
