Rotary Club of Coral Springs Unites Nonprofits for ‘Day of Giving’ to Support Local Families in Need

The Rotary Club of Coral Springs will host the “A Day of Giving” event at New Dawn Community Church on Saturday, May 16.
A group of non-profit organizations will collaborate to collect food, shoes, and clothing for individuals in need. The Rotary Club will coordinate and staff the event, and New Dawn will serve as the collection site. In Jacob’s Shoes will manage the collection, refurbishment, and distribution of shoes, while The Shirt off My Back will oversee clothing donation and distribution to people experiencing homelessness. Royal Palm Christian Church Pantry will collect items for their weekly food pantry, according to Sal Golfo of the Rotary Club.
“We are doing this because we want to serve the local community,” said Golfo.
A Day of Giving will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at New Dawn Community Church, located at 9955 Northwest 31st Street in Coral Springs.
