A Coral Springs teen died from injuries he suffered in a car accident on Florida’s Turnpike Sunday morning.
Facebook posts by the family of Anthony Sahlin identified him as the young man lost in the accident.
They said an open viewing for Anthony will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Dr. Viewing begins at 3 p.m. with a service at 5 p.m.
Following the service, Anthony’s family has invited friends to join them for food and drinks at Packy’s Sports Grill, 11379 W Palmetto Park Rd. in Boca Raton, relatives wrote on Facebook.
According to his LinkedIn page, Anthony previously attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
The teen died of injuries suffered when the car he was in struck a stopped Tamarac Fire Rescue engine that had responded to an earlier crash on Florida’s Turnpike, authorities said.
Anthony was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Two other people in the car were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Anthony is survived by his parents, Korey Lee and Ricky Sahlin; two younger sisters; and scores of friends.
