Zen Foot Spa: A Treat for your Feet

I never heard the concept of a “Foot Spa” until recently. That is, until I was visiting Amsterdam this summer and walked through the Red Light District with my husband.

When my editor mentioned this new restaurant moved into Coral Springs, I knew I had to try it because I am an Asian noodle fiend. I love Pho, Pad Thai, and Lo Mien dishes. So off I go down the yellow brick road of University Drive to this joint.
As summer comes to a close I bid a fond farewell to this oppressive heat and humidity with one last story from Stuart Florida My wife and I have been going to Stuart just to relax and spend some alone time with each other.
With over 230 locations around the United States, this joint is hardly hidden and it’s part of a corporate machine owned by the same company that owns Outback and Bonefish Grill. Despite that, I still enjoy this place immensely.
Between the Sweets is Coral Springs new dinner and dessert restaurant which breaks new gluttonous ground with a variety of sweet and savory combinations to sate your wildest cravings.
I remember seeing this pizza joint in Pompano years ago. When I first drove by, the only thing I could think of when I saw it was the New York Jets. I was thinking to myself, Are you kidding me? A NY Jets Pizza place in Miami Dolphin’s country?
I love Mexican food. I love spicy food. While Mexican food isn’t always spicy it often has great flavors, and if it’s spicy all the better. Granted, usually when I say “Mexican” food I am referring to the typical Americanized Tex-Mex style.
I don’t need a weather person to advise me that it’s hot as hell outside. My grass is dying and there has been no rain in sight. I can’t even walk my dogs without sweating like Elvis on a bad day. Even my pool feels like a hot tub, and I don’t even have a heater.
Last weekend while visiting Stuart Florida, we stayed in a bed and breakfast which is a five minute walk to a restaurant called Sailor’s Return. It’s positioned next to an overpass called the Roosevelt Bridge facing the Sunset Bay Marina & Anchorage.
Any person who is in love and has heard of the Melting Pot, wants to take that special person there because you know if you do, it should end happily ever after.
They came, they saw, and they ate wings. Lots and lots of them. A group of judges visited the top three Coral Springs restaurants in our online poll for the best chicken wings and only one would emerge the winner….
My treasure hunt will be a new series where I’ll uncover some cool hidden gems throughout the City and reveal them right here on Coral Springs Talk. These gems will include some of my favorite things. It may be a food item, a location, a gadget, or a person.
After doing my review on the The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co., I felt compelled to come to Bagels & A Whole Lot More…..
Did you know that New York has special water that makes all their food taste better?
They came. They saw. They ate pizza. Lots of it.
Almost 30 judges from around Coral Springs filled three different restaurants on Saturday to find out which one served up the best pizza in town and they weren’t disappointed.
Last week we took a poll on who has the best cheese pizza in Coral Springs. Well, now the poll is closed and the people have spoken….
I heard that Bonefish Mac’s opened up their fourth restaurant in Coral Springs last month and since I’ve visited their Lighthouse Point location, I was very interested in trying it out….
I have a confession to make: I hate eggs. You see, I was traumatized as a little boy by some jerk kid whose name was probably Johnny who told me eggs were baby chickens….
The winner of the Best Burger in Coral Springs 2015 has been decided by our judges and it was a tough one. First off thank you to all of our judges and to Big Bear Brewing Company, Burger Fi, and Lefty’s Tavern and Grille. We had a great time at each place.
Six years ago I bought my AC unit from Air Around the Clock. I’m a huge fan of the Joe Rose Sports Show on WGAM and it was because of Joe’s horrible singing of ATC song that made me hire these guys.
Coming fresh off my Char-Hut review, I was approached by my editor about running another poll. This time it’s who has the best burger in Coral Springs. If you’ll remember, a poll was conducted on Coral Springs Talk about who had the best happy hour…..
Take an intermission from that strenuous holiday shopping and recharge with a glass of red and a “Tuscan escape” at Brio Tuscan Grille. The baby sister of Bravo! Cucina Italiano has now expanded to Plantation.
So I get an email from Ira who contributes to Coral Springs Talk and he recommends that I should go and review Doris Italian Market. Basically, I told him that was piece of cake. Man, I’ve been a big fan of this joint since I moved to Coral Springs and I’ve also written about them on Yelp.
Growing up in Oakland Park, there were your basic fast food joints like BK, Mickey D’s, and Wendy’s. But we all knew that if you wanted if you had a little extra coin in your pocket and you wanted a solid burger, you went to Char-Hut or Jack’s Old Fashion Hamburgers.
First off, Happy Holidays to everyone who reads Coral Springs Talk. Since I review great places to eat around here, I’m going to go one step further and recommend a great holiday gift for a friend or loved one in your life.
Last month Coral Springs Talk took a poll for the best Happy Hour and readers decided that Tavolino Della Nonna was number one. Our Facebook followers even swore by this place, so a deal is a deal and we set a date for us to stop by and find out what everyone was talking about.
First off, the New York Jets suck!
The reason why I started my review that way is because I’m not a fan of New York Style food.
Like most high school kids, I worked at McDonald’s. It was almost a rite of passage working for Micky Ds. The pay wasn’t that great, but getting 50 percent off all food purchases…..
By: Dan I. Cook My primary physician took a trip to Russia so my dad and I were stuck without a doctor. My dad got that chest congestion crap that has been going around so I asked my buddy about a good urgent care joint. He recommended MedExpress. I took my dad, and walked in. MedExpress […]
By: Dan I. Cook So for years I wanted to ride the Coral Springs Community Bus. Growing up, I used to take the county bus from St. Clements School in Wilton Manors to downtown Fort Lauderdale. For some crazy reason I liked it. I used to listen to my little radio and people watch. In the Marine […]
