After an incredible season for the Coral Glades boy’s soccer team, Giovanni Garcia had the chance to compete in the BCAA All-Star Classic Wednesday night.
Garcia not only was able to score a goal, but he also became the first player in Coral Glades history to win the MVP despite his team falling in the game.
Head Coach Chris Hawley says Garcia is one of the hardest-working players he has ever coached.
“He is a true leader on and off the field and always gave everything he did 110 percent,” said Hawley. “A phenomenal athlete who can completely change a game in a minute.”
Garcia was a key part of the Jaguars this season as he led Coral Glades to back-to-back trips to the district championship game. He has already received tons of interest from college teams and will now play this upcoming weekend in Lakeland for the All-State All-Star on both Saturday and Sunday.
