The Coral Springs Police Department brought holiday joy to 998 children and teenagers during this year’s annual Lions Park Toy Distribution Event on December 19.
Organized by the department’s Community Involvement Unit, the event ensures that local families in need feel the holiday spirit.
School Resource Officers hand-select participants from area schools, focusing on children who could use extra cheer during the season.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of donors and residents, the department offered over 6,000 toys for children to choose from. Officers guided each child through rows of gifts, sharing personal moments as they helped select toys that sparked excitement and happiness.
“We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our community,” said Deputy Chief Bradley Mock. “Events like these remind us of the strength and unity within Coral Springs. It’s an honor to see the excitement and happiness on the children’s faces as we help make their holidays special.”
