With test season quickly approaching, the City of Coral Springs has sponsored an SAT workshop event.
To help its soon-to-be college students grab an edge, the City of Coral Springs has partnered with Score at the Top Learning Centers and Schools for the upcoming Coral Springs Digital SAT Workshop series tailored to provide local students with immersive SAT preparation.
The workshop sessions, scheduled on Saturdays, February 24, April 20, and May 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will be held at the Coral Springs Charter School at 3205 North University Drive.
The workshop promises to offer the following tools to help students better prepare for their upcoming SAT:
-
Practice with real tests
-
Review time-management and multiple-choice test-taking strategies
-
Review frequently tested math concepts
-
Focus on active reading strategies
-
Reinforce commonly tested grammar concepts
-
Gain test-taking confidence
Registration opens Thursday, February 1, exclusively for students who attend any Coral Springs High School — or reside in Coral Springs. The registration fee is $20 per student, including a pizza lunch and snacks.
Students attending the workshops are advised to bring their water bottles and drinks, as refrigeration facilities will not be available at the venue. Students with specific dietary requirements are encouraged to pack their food to ensure they have ample energy to concentrate on the workshop throughout the day.
Students must also bring pencils, note paper, a Digital SAT-approved calculator, and a laptop, Chromebook, or tablet with the College Board’s Blue Book application installed.
For students with transportation needs, the workshop organizers have provided information on accessible bus options. Click here to review recommended bus routes.
To register and for more details, students and parents are encouraged to visit www.coralspringsSATPrep.com. Space is limited to a first-come-first-serve basis.
