Moe’s Southwest Grill was temporarily ordered to close after health inspectors documented live and dead roaches during a complaint-based inspection.
According to state inspection records, Moe’s Southwest Grill, located at 6230 East Coral Ridge Drive, was ordered shut on February 17 following an inspection that identified three violations.
Inspectors reported “roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found,” noting live roaches behind a notice board in the dishwashing area and one live roach underneath a rice cooker in a prep station.
In addition to the live insects, inspectors documented dead roaches on the premises. The report states dead roaches were found behind a notice board in the dishwashing area as well as underneath a dressing cooler in the dining room.
Moe’s Southwest Grill is required to address the violations and pass a follow-up inspection before reopening.
