The Stanley Cup came to Coral Springs on September 3.
Thomas Anderson, assistant equipment manager for the Florida Panthers, brought the Stanley Cup to one of his favorite restaurants, Runyon’s of Coral Springs. His name is on the trophy that he placed on a table in the restaurant.
A large group of fans wearing Panthers jerseys came to see and touch the Cup and have their picture taken next to it. Fans were having a great time, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was exciting. Stanley C. Panther, the team’s mascot, was walking around the restaurant.
“We were glad to bring the Stanley Cup to Coral Springs,” said Miragh Bitove, associate curator and archivist for the Hockey Hall of Fame.
