Firefighters saved two cats from a home that caught fire in Coral Springs Wednesday, authorities said.
According to a department spokesperson, the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department responded to 9219 Northwest 17th Street in reference to a residential structure fire. Crews arrived to find a fire burning toward the back of the residence, the spokesperson said.
The fire was quickly extinguished, according to the departments. Two cats were rescued from the home and survived the blaze.
No one was injured, authorities said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation on Friday. Additional details about the incident were not immediately available.
