After rain postponed several matches earlier this season, the Coral Glades, Coral Springs Charter, and J.P. Taravella boys’ and girls’ golf teams were in action on Tuesday.
Noah Rosen led the Coral Glades boys team in their match against Coral Springs Charter, who shot a 40. Carter Brooks, who was two under par after eight holes in his first match, finished one shot back with a 41, while Sebastian Ortiz and Bradley each shot a 42. Justin Laing was the fifth Coral Galdes golfer to compete, shooting a 45.
Jordan Herman’s low score at Coral Springs Charter was 44, while Edward Canard and Brandon Moll shot 48.
The Coral Glades girl golf team had Bianca Gibbs lead the way with a 37 and Shannon Glynn shoot a 42. Gibbs previously had a 35 this year, while Glynn had a 38 against Piper and Marjory Stoneman Douglas. In their match at The Bridges at Springtree, Gibbs shot 29 (-1) while Glynn recorded a 33 (+3) at The Bridges at Springtree.
Coral Springs Charter’s low score came from Jordan Herman with a 44, while Edward Canard and Brandon Moll shot 48 in their match against Coral Springs Charter. The Panthers had four players compete, led by Natalie Conte with a 47. Leah Costa finished one shot back, and both Isabella Goodman and Brielle Collins were also competing.
Coral Glades and Coral Springs Charter will meet again on Thursday, September 12, in another match at the Country Club of Coral Springs. J.P. Taravella had one golfer from the boys team compete at Colony West Golf Club and recorded a 49.
