Area High Schools Celebrate Over 30 Conference Award-Winning Players

Conference Awards Handed Out to Coral Springs Student-Athletes

Coral Springs produced another incredible season, with over 30 players receiving Conference Awards.

Coral Springs High School’s Rhael Sayers was picked to the All-Team First Conference. Not only did the Lady Colts win a District Championship, they reached the Regional Final for the first time since 1979. Sayers averaged 20.5 points and eight rebounds per game, highlighted by a 31-point performance in the Regional Semifinals.

Ermani Lewis was selected to the Second Team All-Conference, and Shameka Mapp was an Honorable Mention. Romae Brown, Alex Pierre-Louis, and Walter Pierre-Louis were all Honorable Mentions from the boys’ basketball team, while Sebastian Guzman, Mahmoud Kaddouh, and Ethan Perez were also selected from the soccer team

Coral Glades had ten players selected as Honorable Mentions from the basketball, soccer, and wrestling team: Tahir Bond, Matthew Curpres-Epsy, Camryn Smith, Felipe Tejada, Daniel Matza, Santiago Sanchez, Simon Utrera, Nina Blatz, Amanda Will and Carlos Garcia Ruiz

Florida Gulf Coast soccer commit Anna Mariano highlighted Coral Springs Charter after getting selected to the Second Team All-Conference. Ariana Irizary was also picked from the girls’ basketball team, while Danielle Mersch, Marissa Micioni, Sophia Ruiz, Jaeden Gasper, Maleia Coker, and Zylaah Marders.

Mia Marshall-Hewitt from the J.P. Taravella girls’ soccer team and Jordan Pratt from the boys’ basketball team were picked to the Second Team All-Comference. Ray Graham, Melanie Berman, Allysia Merisier, and Mackenzie Ne were Honorable Mentions.
