Coral Glades had an eventful week with their soccer teams hosting senior night against Coral Springs Charter and the basketball teams playing J.P. Taravella.
The Coral Glades boys soccer team recorded a 3-0 win over Coral Springs Charter to move to 13-3-2. The Jaguars honored Zidaan Williams, Lucca Rabaiotti, Christian Wallace, Leonhard Brandi, Lucas Betancur, and Caleb Tomlin. However, on Friday, they lost 2-1 in their final game of the regular season against Cardinal Gibbons High School. They will have a bye to begin the postseason and play either Boca Raton or J.P. Taravella, while MSD is seeded first and will face either Spanish River or Western High School.
The girls soccer team honored Angelina Thomason, Aryanna Marin, Leilani Del Valle, Lily Bido, Mikayla Estrada, Sabrina Santucci, Gina Bido, and Kylee Boyd. They then went on to fall 8-0 against Cardinal Gibbons High School, finishing the regular season at 5-6-3. Their first playoff game will be against Western High School on Tuesday, January 22, at 7 p.m., with the winner playing top-seeded Marjory Stoneman Douglas two days later.
The Coral Spring Charter boys team went 6-12-1 this year, while the girls soccer team recorded a 2-0 win to move to 12-4-2 this year before the start of the postseason and will be seeded third against Franklin Academy High School on Wednesday, January 22 at 7 p.m.

The Coral Springs High School boys soccer team went 9-5-2 and will play Monarch High School in their first postseason game on Thursday, January 23, at 5 p.m. The winner of this game will play Fort Lauderdale while Deerfield Beach, Boyd H Anderson, and Piper High School are all competing.
The Coral Springs High School girls soccer team went 3-11-1. Their wins came against Plantation, McArthur, and Boyd H Anderson, but they dropped their last game of the regular season against Deerfield Beach High School. They will play them in their first playoff game on Thursday, January 23, at 5 p.m. Piper is the top seed, while Fort Lauderdale will play the winner of Monarch and Boyd H. Anderson High School.
In basketball, the Coral Glades boys team beat J.P. Taravella 53-50 to improve to 16-6 this year. The J.P. Taravella girls basketball team recorded a 33-18 win over Coral Glades for their fifth win of the season, while the Jaguars fell to 3-9.
The Jaguars boys basketball team will close their regular season with a matchup against Coral Springs High School on Thursday, January 23, at 7:30 p.m. The Colts are 12-5 this year and beat Pine Crest School in their last game on Wednesday. The girls team will also play the Colts at 6 P.M. but will face South Plantation High School before that on Wednesday, January 22, at 6 p.m. CSHS also comes into the game at 12-5 this year.
JPT, though, had the boys beat Fort Lauderdale High School 72-61 on Friday while the girls fell 49-24. Their next set of games will be against Marjory Stoneman Douglas on Wednesday, January 22, starting at 6 p.m., while Coral Springs Charter’s basketball teams will play Boca Raton Community High School on Thursday, January 23, beginning at 5 p.m.
