It has been an exciting week for both Coral Springs Charter basketball teams.
Emily Williams shined in her first yet as Head Coach of the Coral Springs Charter girls’ team.
The Panthers are headed to the district semifinals following their 46-21 win over Calvary Christian Academy on Tuesday.
CSC entered the postseason as the third seed after going 13-4 in the regular season. They will play for a spot in the District Championship on Wednesday, Jan. 1, against Somerset Academy. The Cougars had a bye in their opening round after going 16-6 this year.
The boys’ basketball team held their final home game of the year. This was also the last game for John Heffernan, Raton Kwan, Jaeden Grasper, Aiden Lev, Jeremyah Ilsaint, and Chase Fearon.
Their wins this year came against West Broward, Miramar, and a pair of wins over Don Soffer Aventura High School. They face David Posnack Jewish Day (Davie) on Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. and come in with a record of 10-2.
