After leading Coral Springs Charter football in his first season, Chris Haire was chosen to coach in the Inaugural Battle at the Beach All-Star Game on Saturday.
Featuring the best players from Broward and Palm Beach, he said it was a great opportunity to coach an all-star game.
A resident of Tamarac, Coach Haire also works as a weight training instructor.
During the regular season, the Panthers went 5-5 and nearly snuck into the postseason. All five of their wins came within a little over a month of each other as they beat Hollywood Hills, Archbishop Mcarthy, Pembroke Pines, Pompano Beach, and Northeast High School.
Offensively, Haire saw Mason Phillips finish in the top ten in the state of Florida in receiving yards with 1,131. Quarterback Ryan O’Keefe threw for 1,823 yards while the panthers ran for 737 yards on the ground.
CSC allowed 12 points or less in four games, including their shutout win over the Mavericks. Dominic Dunn led the team with 108 tackles and will be a significant part of the Panthers team next year after several key players graduate from the 2021 team.
