J.P. Taravella and Coral Springs High Volleyball Teams Play Classic 5-Set Match

High School volleyball continued, highlighted by a terrific five-set match between J.P. Taravella and Coral Springs High School on Tuesday.
The Trojans came back from two sets down to win the match 19-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-23, 15-8 to improve to 5-4 on the season. JPT previously had wins against Dillard, South Plantation, Miramar, and Coconut Creek High School. They are set for a busy week of matches, playing against Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Charles. W Flanagan and Northeast High School on consecutive days. CSHS dropped to 1-4 and had its only win come against South Plantation High School on September 4. They will not play again until September 29 against Piper High School at 6 p.m.
Coral Glades and Coral Springs Charter were also in action. The Jaguars lost all three of their matches, but have a record of 3-6. They will play against Marjory Stoneman Douglas and Stranahan High School later this week. Coral Springs Charter is 7-2 this season and beat Cardinal Gibbons and NSU University High School in their matches a week ago, and also won against Western High School in three sets to begin this week. They will play two more matches this week and then compete in the South Florida Showdown this weekend.
