Eloise Mathews has a passion for creating jewelry and for studying art.
A fifth-grade student at Country Hills Elementary School in Coral Springs, Eloise has created a business known as Jumping Jellyfish Designs. She displayed her work at the Pine & Palm Artists Market at the Coral Springs Museum of Art on November 8 and 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“I like to create jewelry using resin, and I have made key chains,” said Eloise.
She became interested in art when her mother, Katie Mathews, took her to a family day at the museum. They both became interested and subsequently took classes. Katie enjoyed learning to paint, and Eloise took courses in painting, ceramics, and mixed media.
“This has been a positive experience for both of us, and we like being a part of this show,” said Katie.
They were among 25 artists who displayed and sold their work at the Pine & Palm.
