Coral Springs High School girls varsity coach Mike Guardino has created a nonprofit league to create more opportunities for both boys and girls to play.
Called allplaysoccerclub.com, the league will play two games on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at Sabal Pines Park in Coconut Creek. They also will play matches against other soccer clubs and travel teams a couple of times a month.
“I just feel like this is a great chance for some good competition and workout without a lot of the stress and financial obligation that comes with other forms of soccer,” said Coach Guardino.
For only $50 per month, proceeds will help boost membership and provide grants.
Boys and girls from the ages of 13-18 will have the first opportunity to participate on Thursday, April 1, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., and Coach Guardino hopes to begin providing games for kids ages 8-12 in May.
