The Coral Springs city commission recognized Holocaust Remembrance Day during the April 14 meeting.
Rabbi Yankie Denburg of the Chabad Jewish Center in Coral Springs accepted a proclamation from the city commission, which proclaimed April 14, 2026, as “Holocaust Remembrance Day” in Coral Springs.
During his remarks, Denburg expressed concern about the increase in antisemitism and hatred, emphasizing the importance of learning to live together and fostering love among one another.
On Sunday, April 19, at 7:00 p.m., the Chabad Jewish Center at 11325 West Atlantic Boulevard will host Bar Kupershtein, who will share his story of survival, faith, courage, and hope after being held in Gaza’s tunnels, according to Denburg.
General seating is $36, and front row seats, including a VIP reception, are $125.
