Coral Glades continues to dominate the city with another win over J.P. Taravella in the Jason G. Stein Swamp Bowl.
This game honors the late Jason Stein, the former Athletic Director of JPT. His wife, Michelle, is also an assistant principal at Coral Glades.
Offensively, the Jaguars recorded five rushing touchdowns, with Craig Allen Jr. and Jayden Chico each recording a pair. Curtis Shelton Jr. had the other one in Thursday night’s 33-7 victory.
“Locking up the city for another year feels great,” said Head Coach Cam Thomas. “We can celebrate tonight but have a big game next week against Stranahan that can change a lot. Now it’s time to shift our focus and get ready for them.”
Coral Glades is now 2-5 and has won their last seven games dating back to 2020 against schools from Coral Springs. Next, the Jaguars will remain at home for their matchup against Stranahan High School on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. The Mighty Dragons are 3-3 this year.
For JPT, they dropped their sixth straight game to start the season. They will attempt to go for their first win on Monday, Oct. 17, at 4 p.m. against Pompano Beach High School, who comes in with a record of 3-3.
