The Coral Springs Charter girls’ bowling is doing very well at midseason with a 38 – 6 record.
On September 22, the Charter girls’ team defeated Coral Glades and scored 839, which is considered very high, according to Cameron Thiele, a junior and team leader.
“We have earned our success by practicing hard, and we love to bowl,” said Thiele.
Coach Greg Mason is very proud of the girls’ team and believes they may qualify for the state championship meet. “They have put in a lot of practice, and they work very hard. That is why this team is doing so well,” he said.
Leading bowlers include Faith Tucker, Jasmine Chung, Audrey Gold, and Thiele, according to Mason.
The Panthers boys’ team is young and working toward improvement. They split the match with Coral Glades 2-2, according to Mason.
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas boys’ bowling team is the leading team that competes at Bowlero Tamarac. Mike Gregory is pleased with the team and said that Bryce Gregory bowled 429 and Luke Munson bowled 422 over two games. The team defeated Boyd Anderson.
“We are bowling well this season, and we are working toward improving and getting ready for the upcoming district competition,” said Gregory.
The Eagles girls’ team is a smaller group and is doing well and enjoying the competitions, according to Gregory.
The Coral Springs High School bowing teams brought on new bowlers for the boys’ team, and the girls’ team has been successful. Boys’ coach Steve Rocke said both teams are improving and preparing for the district competition in late October.
