After a strong week, which featured Coral Springs High School and J.P. Taravella football recording their first wins, three local teams fell in their latest game.
The Colts lost to Blanche Ely High School 40-0 as they came in as the 42-ranked team in Florida.
CSHS is now 1-2 this year under first-year coach Eddie Brown and will play Northeast High School in their next game on Friday, September 22, at 7 p.m. The Hurricanes are 1-3 this year and had their only victory against Pompano Beach High School, but they went 0-9 last year and lost 31-13 against the Colts.
Coral Glades dropped their fourth straight game to the season after falling 35-0 to Everglades High School on Thursday.
This is the second straight year that Coral Glades has started 0-4 and will play Cypress Bay High School in their next game on Friday, September 29, at 7 p.m. The Lightning came in with two wins this season, defeating West Broward and Charles W. Flanagan High School.
The Trojans fell to 1-3 this year after losing 21-0 against a Pembroke Pines Charter. They will play Western High School in their next game on Friday, September 22, at 7 p.m. The Wildcats are 2-1 this year and rank 63rd in the nation.
Coral Springs Charter had a bye this week and will play Pompano Beach High School in their next game on Thursday, September 21, at 7 p.m., with the Panthers looking to secure their first win.
