Another local rivalry was held on November 28 between Coral Springs High School and Coral Springs Charter.
During the boys soccer game, The Colts beat the Panthers 1-0 to improve their record to 4-1-2. They previously had wins over Boyd H. Anderson and Somerset Prep. CSC is now 1-1-1 this year and had a win against Westminster Academy.
The CSC girls soccer team won 1-0 over CSHS, with Sophie Ribeiro scoring from an assist from Maria Rojas. The Panthers won their first game against Westminster Academy 8-0, the first victory for their new head coach, Jordan Edmound, while the Lady Colts had beaten earlier this season against Somerset Prep and Dillard.
Next, both CSC soccer teams will play on Monday against South Plantation High School, starting at 4 p.m. CSHS soccer teams will play against South Broward High School School on Monday, December 4.

The CSHS Boys basketball team lost their first game of the season, 71-68, against Stranahan High School. Their team this year consists of Walter Pierre Louis, Trevor Edwards, Valentine Abreu, Roman Brown, Philip Cleter, James Salusby, Java Chervin, Chase Thomas, Alex Pierre Louis, Jordan Saulter, Matt Cross, Matthew Curprew-Elsy, Jordan Carr, Craig Bryant, and Jayden Celestin. The Colts went 14-9 last season and will play against Lake Worth High School on Saturday, December 2, at 2:30 p.m.
The CSHS Girls basketball is now 3-1 this year and beat Stranahan High School 90-0. They previously beat Dwyer and Palm Beach Central while losing against Blanche Ely High School. The Lady Colts will play Dillard in their next game on Monday, December 4, at 6:30 p.m.
The CSC boys basketball fell 71-34 in their first game after going 4-16 last year. This year’s team comprises Jurgen Meza, Justin Laroche, Ojani Victoria, Cole Wilson, Murillo Boat, AJ Peck, Dylan Cordoba, and Jalen McGregor. The CSC girls basketball began their season against Nova on November 29 and fell 60-13.
Next, the boys will play Western High School on Wednesday, December 6, at 7:30 p.m., while the girls will play Seacrest Country Day High School on Monday, December 4, at 6 p.m.
The wrestling season was supposed to start for Coral Springs High School on Friday but was postponed. On Friday, the CSC wrestling team went 2-3 with wins over West Broward and American Heritage but fell against Westminster Academy, Somerset, and Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School.
Elijah Perez went 6-2 with six pins and lost to a pair of ranked opponents to finish second. Zane Yawar placed third, while Alexander Pagliai, Logan Bosworth, Preston Lindsay, Owyn Vargas, and Brandon Hankerson came in fourth. Andrew Ridge also placed fifth.
