The Coral Springs Community Garden and Food Forest has been honored with the 2024 Emerald Award.
Located at 2915 Sportsplex Drive, the Community Garden is a hidden oasis where nature thrives in Coral Springs’ rapidly growing community.
The Community Garden was recently notified that it would receive the Broward County NatureScape Emerald Award—an annual recognition of businesses, municipalities, schools, and homeowners who have crafted and maintained model Florida-style landscapes demonstrating visible ecological practices.
The award will be presented at the group’s Water Matters Day Main Stage Ceremonies on Saturday, at 10:00 am. Attendees are advised to arrive at Tree Tops Park by 9:15 am to ensure entry. The park will open its gates at 8:00 a.m.
This year, the Coral Springs Community Garden and Food Forest stood out for its efforts in fostering a green, sustainable, and ecologically responsible community space.
