The postseason is underway in wrestling, with several wrestlers dominating at Districts and Regionals.
Coral Springs High School had four wrestlers finish in first place: Shai Keery, Jaylen Brown, J`vier Romeus, and Jerrod Samuels.
Alex Haley, Jr., Dylan Mckeon, Adam Shuker, and Tyler Green were all runner-ups, while Tony Do and Colin Reynolds came in third. The Colts also had Leon Simpson, Tavish Perera, and Sebastian Mendoza finish fourth.
The girls team finished second overall, with Abigail Moyer and Arheanna Bryan placing first. Nylah Smith and Beneisha Cherubin came in second, while Payton Moyer placed third. Tiffany To finished fourth, followed by Breana Harris and Miley Pham.
Victor Dixon, Jacob Rosen, and Enzo Amado all won for the J.P. Taravella boys wrestling team, while Caiden Canales, Amir Sameem, and Devin Przchodny placed second. Louis Hernandez was the lone Trojan to come in third, Caden Ankele, Andrew Hines, Caiden Mesa placed fifth, and Jayden Pelletier came in sixth.
Coral Springs Charter had five wrestlers qualify for Regionals, with Elijah Perez and Preston Lindsay placing second. Alex Pagliai and Michael Streder came in third, while Nathan Carlisle finished fourth.
At Regionals, Romeus came in second place for the Colts, while Kerry came in fourth to qualify for state. Perera, Mckeon, Shuker, Green, Reynolds Haley Jr., Brown, and Samuels all recorded points to help CSHS place 15th. Rosen was the lone qualifier for JPT after coming in fourth place. Hernandez, Canales, Amado, Dixon, Hines, Sameen, and Przchodny also won matches while the team placed 17th. Lindsay was also the lone qualifier for CSC after he came in third place, while Perez came within one match of advancing. The Panthers also had Streder win a game at Regionals.
At the junior varsity level, Logan Diaz came in second place for Coral Springs High School, while Tavsih Peter came in fourth. Jelani Cruickshank won for J.P. Taravella, with Louis Hernandez coming in third. CSC had Nathan Carlisle, Jonathan McKenzie, and Abraham Laboy in the top six, while Keaton Clark came in in eighth.
