Both the 11U and Senior baseball team from North Springs continued their postseason run following their District Championship earlier this month.
The 11U team lost 4-2 and 3-0 in their two games against Miami Springs in Saint Augustine. They previously won the District Tournament with a win over Parkland and two victories over Fort Lauderdale.
Their team consists of Blake Burden, Tyler Odell, Jorden Gasper, Luke Niedda, Thomas Scheidt, Jack Parham, Brody Tudor, Mason McElhinney, Brayden Basso, Brayden Johnson, Mason Steinberg, and Blake Budd.
The seniors competed in St. Augustine in States and made a run to the final before falling against DPLL Seniors. They won two games before that, outscoring their opponents 16-4. North Springs won 6-4 in their first game, with Jayden Claudio and Nick Hammerman knocking in two. Carter Hayden and Kyle Jensen had RBS, while Gianna Carbone won with 5.1 terrific innings out of the bullpen before Claudio got the final out.
In their successive win, North Springs won 10-0. Nick Milosevich and Jensen knocked in two runs. DC Chung and Vincent Campbell also had RBIs, while Campbell and Ricky Wharton tossed a complete game shutout with nine strikeouts.
