Josh Berrios is a sophomore at Coral Glades High School in Coral Springs and has been “BMXing” for four years.

An inclusion program called “Play Pal” is set to start in the fall in Broward County schools. The program, which was first implemented ten years ago at one of the schools, was first started by a autism coach. The video is a demonstration of this program which was filmed at Coral Park Elementary School in Coral Springs, Florida.

Broward County Public Schools recognized its outstanding employees this evening (March 1) with its new Caliber Awards during a combined ceremony held at the Signature Grand in Davie. The gala event replaces the annual ACCLAIM, Teacher of the Year and School-Related Employee of the Year ceremonies held in the past. The event was streamed live by BECON-TV on the District’s website.

Photographer Marie LaFauci is pictured on the historic covered bridge in Coral Springs wearing a TuTu that has traveled the world. She said that photographers would mail the TuTu to each other, take photos wearing it, then pass it on. Looks like Marie chose a great place to wear hers.
The Dr. Steven G. Paul Dog Park in the Coral Springs Sportsplex, built in the mid 90s, was one of the first Dog Parks in Florida and attracts dog lovers from surrounding cities as well. The idea for the dog park was developed in 1992 while Dr.Steven Paul, former Hospital Director of Wiles Road and Cypress Wood Animal Hospitals, was attending a veterinary conference in Massachusetts.

District Three which covers Parkland, Coral Springs, Tamarac, and half of North Lauderdale has been has been represented by Stacy Ritter since 2006. Ritter, a Democrat will be running again this year and has competition with Robert W. Sutton. Sutton, a Republican currently teaches High School with Broward County Schools.
The other day I noticed something a bit different about this SUV on University Drive that didn’t look quite right. Pulling closer, it appeared that the owner performed a little automotive surgery with duct tape all along the rear tailgate section.

Aldi opened its much-anticipated location in Coral Springs. Located at 6198 W Sample Rd, this is a full Aldi grocery store which includes beer and wine sales.
