Coral Springs High School held a signing day, during which 10 student-athletes officially made their commitments official.
The wrestling team had three student-athletes officially signed. Shai Keery is committed to Kesier University and was a BCAA and District Championship before placing third at Regionals and seventh at the State Championship. Javier Romeus committed to St. Thomas University and won the District Championship before coming in fourth place at the State Championship. Abigail Moyer is from the girls’ team and is committed to Point Park University. She was the District and Regional Champion and then went on to place fourth at the State Championship.
The girls’ basketball team had Camryn Smith and Tannery Dajuste sign. Smith averaged 11.1 points per game, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals, while the Lady Colts won 30 games, including one District Championship. Dajuste is heading to Montreat College in North Carolina and averaged 7.9 points per game, along with 1.7 steals.
Alex Pierre-Louis signed with Santa Fe College. He reached 1,000 points in his high school career and finished his senior year, averaging 22.3 points per game. He ranked 24th in Florida in field goals with 217 and 470th nationally with 79 made three-pointers, while also scoring 42 points in a game this year. He went on to be named to the All-State Team.
Angel Ruguian of the baseball team signed with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and went 4-1 this year on the mound, along with a save. He pitched to a 4.24 ERA after shining as a sophomore with a .41 ERA. He also had a win while recording 13 hits and driving in nine runs. Shaquille Sala will attend Dominican College after three years on varsity. He was a lifetime .258 hitter and had 15 doubles, one triple, and 26 RBIs while the team won 32 games.
Zanu Fullerton will play college football at Fullerton University. After going 4-4 last year, the Colts had only one win this season, coming against J.P. Taravella.
Sebastian Marrero is signed with Allen Community College in Kansas after taking first in the 110 hurdles, 400 hurdles, and 4 x 400 relay at the District Championship. He placed in the top five in all three events at Regionals, including a second-place finish in the 400 hurdles before coming in fourth at the state championship. He also helped the 4 x 400 relay team come in 11th.
