With the postseason approaching, four local high schools recognized their seniors from their lacrosse, tennis, and flag football teams.
The Coral Glades boys lacrosse team recognized its seniors, David Bedoya, Jean Francois, Christian Restrepo, Andrew Eccelston, Jaxson Horner, Caiden Castranovo, and Bryson Forbes, despite falling to J.P. Taravella 15-2. Cameron Hartung and Eccleston scored goals for a team that finished the regular season 2-9.
The Coral Glades girls lacrosse team is 5-3 this year and has won its last three games, beating J.P. Taravalla Cooper City and South Plantation High School. Alyssa Milian, Meilia Hartley, and Madeline Pelaez were the seniors recognized.
The J.P. Taravella boys lacrosse team is 5-10 this year, featuring seniors Tremaine Bell, Jaiyhir Blake, Teddy Bosch, Cameron Burdge, Jeremiah Chisolm, Chase Evans, Daniel Gutierrez, Jordan Kaplan, Vance Lindeman, Donald Lowe, Santiago Mejia, Tariq Paye, Nathan Parsons, Prince Paul, Taleik Paye, Cayden Schroeder and Ben Williams. The girls team features seniors Kayla McManus, Jayla Smith, and Madison Brown.
The Coral Springs High School boys lacrosse team is winless but features seniors Chris St. Gerald, Brendan Kenny, Elijah Hanna, Cole Waldman, and Brandon Toledo.
On the tennis court, Coral Springs Charter will recognize seniors Sebastian Rogers and Christian Silva from the boys team and Madisen Clark and Juhnyee See from the girls team. These two teams have combined to win 11 matches this year. Coral Springs High School seniors consist of Janine Brown, Nicole Bustos, Sophie Franklin, Ayanna Johnson, and Ariadna Nava.
In flag football, Coral Glades honored Shalon Mallett, Anaya Campbell, Cassidy Morales, Samantha Menard, Taiss Duval, Evangelina Andrione, and Bertyann Fortulien. The Jaguars are 5-7 this year and have wins over Coocnut Creek, St. John Paul II Catholic, Plantation, Miramar, and Hollywood Hills High School.
Their final game of the season is against J.P. Taravella, who recognized seniors Katelyn Austin and Nevaeh Maye. The Trojans are 4-6 this year and have beat West Broward, Hallandale, Stranahan, and Northeast High School. Coral Springs High School lost its opening game 34-0 against Nova but has responded with ten straight wins. During this streak, they have outscored their opponents 213-34.
Next, these three teams will compete in the District Tournament, which will start on Tuesday, April 9.
