Conference awards were handed out following the spring sports season, highlighted by a successful year from the Coral Springs Charter softball team.
The Panthers featured a pair of Players of the Year in Gio Gurgel and Courtney Wahlbrink, while head coach Mark Montimurro earned Coach of the Year honors after leading the program to its sixth state championship at Coral Springs Charter and the eighth of his career.
CSC finished the season 23-4, with all four losses coming by a single run. After falling in both the Big-8 and District Championship, the Panthers responded with a playoff run that included a win over Cardinal Gibbons in the Regional Final before capturing two victories at the state championships.
Gurgel hit .405 with 10 home runs and 42 RBIs to earn Offensive Player of the Year honors, while Wahlbrink shined in the circle, posting a 22-2 record with a 0.66 ERA to be named Pitcher of the Year. She also contributed offensively, batting .396 with two home runs and 10 extra-base hits.
Alyson Vinze and Leah Rutherford were also selected to the First Team. Vinze, an eighth grader, led the team with a .473 batting average and scored 32 runs, while Rutherford hit .305 with 19 RBIs.
Cam Thiele, Jazzy Chung and Bree Martinelli earned Second Team honors. Thiele and Chung ranked second and third on the team in RBIs and combined for three home runs, while Martinelli batted .368. Greysynn Courtney, Chloe Koering and Addi Brown were named to the Third Team. Courtney and Koering each hit over .300, while Brown drove in 13 runs and delivered a key hit during the state championship run.
The baseball team also enjoyed a strong season, advancing to the regional playoffs. Easton Viveros was named First Team All-Conference after batting .390 with one home run, 10 RBIs, seven doubles and five triples. The Panthers won nine games and played two competitive playoff contests against North Broward Prep.

Rodney Chung earned Second Team honors after hitting a home run during the season, while Edward Canard and Chris Lora were selected to the Third Team. Canard posted a 5-1 record with a 1.81 ERA, and Lora hit .365.
The flag football team enjoyed a breakthrough season, winning the first district championship in program history. Quarterback Ali Rodriguez was named to the First Team after throwing for 2,786 yards and 20 touchdowns while adding 1,256 rushing yards and 12 scores on the ground.
Breanna Mazanec and Eva Rodriguez were selected to the Second Team after combining for more than 1,700 receiving yards. Rile Guerra earned Third Team recognition after emerging as one of the team’s top receiving targets.
In tennis, Santiago Garcia Castillo was named to the Second Team. The track and field team was highlighted by Jordin Sawyer, who earned Second Team honors. Honorable Mention selections included Gianna Barnes, Ava Dorvil, Reagan Pinkston, Sydney Leath, Madison Louis and Lily Richardson.
